Was good until the ending. Why the author chose this ending

Was good until the ending... Why the author would choose this ending, I have no idea. Too many loose ends and lack of motive, or at least understanding of motive very murky.

So beautifully done. I loved it. I'll be reading it over and over since it's a quick and easy read. The characters really got to me in a good way.

Disappointing

The story was to short and thus lacked character development. There was promise but it was lost. Also the tale was rushed to an end.

Spectacular! A beautiful portrait of Florence in the Renaissance! I loved the way the author painted (haha) the conflict between religion, feminism, attraction, and politically-driven marriages. A quick and pleasant read that I definitely enjoyed and highly recommend.
