These book are picking up steam and I can't wait for the next one. I was a bit disappointed in the first book when a lot of stuff wasn't explained, but now that I've completed Book 2, I understand what they are trying to do. The authors seem to be building some resolution around one plot line in each book while teasing the reader in the other plot lines for what to anticipate/look forward to next.

I also must say, I love Dirk Garrett and his storyline. He is so flawed and humorous, and I am so intrigued by the Republicans and these symbols and such that I can't wait to see what happens next with that storyline. I am stoked to see when all these storylines converge as I think will happen. The hints are there. I can only imagine some major action and crazy revelations once that happens.

And Sam! The revelations in her storyline are crazy but I found myself trying to rush through it so I could find another part with the Magician or Dirk. That said, the end of the book turned that around and I am dying to find out what is in store for her in the Jadian Empire.

In the end there was some great new developments, great action, interesting turns, and I can't wait for book 3 in the series to see what happens next!

The characters drag you into the story and you want to know more. Either the editor messed up in a couple of spots or when the novel got "translated" to be put into a epub version there a some errors. Collin Earl does an AMAZING job writing the story and characters that most of the time you can look past it. The first couple books in the series are bad and then they get better. I don't know if he is adding more to the series (there are 3 in the series that are out--i think) but i am anxiously awaiting to see what happens. Great for a quick read for the day or to get your teenagers to read books.

I find that I liked reading this book better than the first and a lot easier to understand now that I clearly know who the characters are.

Still so many unanswered questions just keeps me guessing the whole way through. I can't wait to read the final book to find out all the answers.

The idea in this book amaze me. The main characters all have unique and gripping stories secretly linked together that I find is brilliant, especially when trying to figure things out.

Great writing again and such a good book.
