Sure, call me an author,
a poet,
and many words that the world gave to what I do.

But, I like to be called a dreamcatcher.
Every morning, I get up to sail the waves of events and cast a net for my stories to get them what I promised to get one day.
Stories That Needed You.

Someday eventually I've heard, our pasts become history, and we become us.
A lot lives within us. A lot visits us. A lot comes and looks at a part of us that's made for that lot.

Every night when I return from the infinite sea of happenings, the storyteller opens the net of memories to catch a wave of dream rushing to the shores of reality.
I bring you those dreams.

P.S. Writing the last sentence definitely was on my wish list.

“We were living our once upon a time. Every day felt like a lifetime; every moment was alive.”
Pratik Mishra, A Thousand Places

“You being here. This moment. It's perfection, and it's beauty. It surprises me that I wouldn't even have known to wish for it on a shooting star before today.”
Pratik Mishra, A Thousand Places

“I kept looking at her. It was mountains, weather, or her — I didn’t know. But I felt a lot of feelings as she read my words, bending over the bed, facing me, and occasionally looking at me between those five pages.”
Pratik Mishra, A Thousand Places

“We're so self-important. So arrogant. Everybody's going to save something now. Save the trees, save the bees, save the whales, save the snails. And the supreme arrogance? Save the planet! Are these people kidding? Save the planet? We don't even know how to take care of ourselves; we haven't learned how to care for one another. We're gonna save the fuckin' planet? . . . And, by the way, there's nothing wrong with the planet in the first place. The planet is fine. The people are fucked! Compared with the people, the planet is doin' great. It's been here over four billion years . . . The planet isn't goin' anywhere, folks. We are! We're goin' away. Pack your shit, we're goin' away. And we won't leave much of a trace. Thank God for that. Nothing left. Maybe a little Styrofoam. The planet will be here, and we'll be gone. Another failed mutation; another closed-end biological mistake.”
George Carlin

“I write because you exist.”
Michael Faudet

“The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.”
Isaac Asimov

“I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer”
Douglas Adams

“Perhaps one did not want to be loved so much as to be understood.”
George Orwell, 1984
