“It’s nearly nightfall, the vast evening sky as resplendent and intricate as that quilt hanging from the wooden knob on the side of Grandma’s dresser. Thanks for friend invite, McCaid. I blame Goodreads and the wonderful people that have befriended me, and the ones I follow, for broadening my reading horizons and helping me discover gems I might have otherwise overlooked.
