Grace Overview

Grace is one of the Electric characters with role. Grace is one of the S Rank characters in Zenless Zone Zero.

Grace Build is included in this guide, you can jump to Grace Build Here.

Grace Mechansim

Grace is the core character in both Shock and Anomaly Teams. She relies on zero-cost, high-frequency Special Attacks and the activation of her Core Passive to stack up to 8 layers, enhancing the damage of her Electric Anomaly.

To briefly introduce, the Special Attack serves as Grace’s main ability, and its end lag can be canceled by dodging. When reaching the third use of her Special Attack, there is a Global Cooldown (GCD) on dodging. During this time, we can use Basic Attacks to offset it, resulting in the following Grace Rotation. This rotation is relatively simple and allows for quickly putting enemies into a Daze state through this method.

Grace Build

Grace Best W-Engine

For S Rank W-engines, Grace’s signature W-engine, Fusion Compiler, is undoubtedly the best choice, perfectly matching her by providing balanced stats including Electro DMG, Anomaly Mastery (AM), PEN Ratio, and other damage-enhancing attributes.

For A Rank W-engines, consider Weeping Gemini or Electro-Lip Gloss. Weeping Gemini can provide high AM when teammates or Grace trigger Shocking, and it can stack up to 4 times. Grace’s playstyle makes her Anomaly Buildup contribution the highest in the team, so the AM provided by Weeping Gemini ensures damage conversion. However, note that Weeping Gemini’s bonuses are cleared when the target recovers from Daze, so it is not recommended for Grace in a Daze-focused Electro team. Electro-Lip Gloss is more suitable for a Double Anomaly team, providing a slight damage boost to Grace when other attributes trigger anomalies.

During the early game exploration phase, you can use [Magnetic Storm] Bravo as transitional options. The former provides attribute mastery, while the latter offers penetration rate and extra energy, both slightly increasing the actual damage dealt.

Sub Stats

For Disk Drives, it is recommended to equip Grace with 4 pcs Freedom and 2 pcs Thunder. The 2 pcs set bonus of Freedom provides additional Anomaly Proficiency (AP), enhancing Shock DMG, while the 4 pcs set bonus reduces the target’s attribute Buildup RES, accelerating Electro Buildup. The 2 pcs set bonus of Thunder Metal also provides additional AM, enhancing Shock DMG.

For main stats, choose AP for Slot 4, PEN Ratio for Slot 5, and Anomaly Mastery (AM) for Slot 6. For sub-stats, prioritize AP and PEN. It is not suggested to stack Crit Rate or Crit DMG for Grace in sub-stats, as the low base stats result in low returns from Crit Rate or Crit DMG.

Grace Team

Grace Shock Team 1

Grace’s playstyle is relatively straightforward, primarily focusing on Anomaly. The team composition should naturally revolve around Anomaly. The optimal team setup is a Shock team with Rina, Grace, and Anton. With two Belobog Heavy Industries characters present, the preferred Bangboo is Safety, with Plugboo or Electroboo as the second choice. Grace’s main role is to utilize her high attribute Buildup efficiency to quickly push enemies into the Shock State. Grace is usually built with AP also maximizes Shock damage.

Rina’s role is to leverage her two core passives to increase the team’s penetration rate, extend Shock duration by 3s, and boost the team’s Electro DMG when a Shocked target is present.

Anton’s job is to deal as much damage as possible during the Shock state and to trigger more Shock instances. When Anton is in his Ex Special burst state, every five Crit Hits trigger an additional 15% Shock DMG. Anton’s high Crit Rate can nearly double Grace’s single Shock damage, making this a well-rounded and mature Anomaly-Support-Burst setup.

The team’s operation is simple. After entering combat, Rina should first use Basic Attack to deploy her doll, increasing the team’s penetration rate. Grace then performs Electric Buildup, occasionally switching to Rina to maintain the doll on the field with Basic Attacks. When enemies enter the Shock state, switch Rina in to use Ex Special or Basic Attack, then bring in Anton to use Special for output. The only issue with this team is the misalignment between T0 Anton’s output time and T0 Rina’s buff duration and Shock duration. Shock lasts about 12 seconds, but T0 Rina’s buff only lasts 5 seconds. To maximize Rina’s coverage, Ex Special must be used before Anton comes in, making Rina’s energy demand very high. T0 Rina Anton cannot fully use two sets of Basic Attacks without 70 energy. The options are either to sacrifice Anton’s output for energy or slow down the team’s rhythm to build energy. The solution is both difficult and simple: if both characters reach T1, the problem is solved. Anton’s 1st constellation allows extra energy during Basic Attacks, while Rina’s extends her buff duration by 5.5 seconds, perfectly covering the entire output period and optimizing the Shock team.

Grace Shock Team 2

If Rina is unavailable, consider using Anby to replace Rina, forming a Daze Shock team with Grace, Anby, and Anton. The Bangboo can be either Plugboo or Electroboo to increase Electrc DMG. This setup trades Rina’s damage-boosting ability for Anby’s Daze capability. Grace still focuses on attribute anomalies but needs to switch to Anby via Assist Follow-up as much as possible. When Anby is on the field, she should use a set of Basic Attack + Special + Charged Attack, then switch back to Grace to maximize the on-field time of Grace due to her higher Anomaly Buildup efficiency. Switch to Anton only when the enemy is in Shock or Daze to use Ex Special for a burst.

Compared to the Pure Electro team mentioned earlier, this setup is less efficient. Grace herself does not synergize well with a Daze-oriented team. This team is essentially a lower-tier substitute and is not recommended for long-term development.

Grace Disorder Team

The Disorder team composed of Rina, Grace, and Piper takes advantage of the high Shock damage. It’s essential to trigger Shock first before deploying Piper to trigger Assault. Use Assault to activate Disorder and maximize the damage output.

Lycaon’s characteristics mainly used Charged Attack to stun enemie. This mechanism makes Lycaon’s stun efficiency more stable. This simple, efficient, and reliable method makes Lycaon a versatile option for tough battles and a trustworthy character for prolonged battlefield engagements.

Pros

  • Main stun method is Charged Attack, not reliant on EX and Ultimate.
  • Excellent damage support capabilities, can reduce enemy Ice RES and increase vulnerability during daze period, both of which are valuable multipliers.

Cons

  • Weak damage output, accounting for only a single-digit percentage of the team’s overall damage.

Excellent single-target and AoE capabilities, unique enchantment damage-increasing mechanism. As the first limited character, Ellen is definitely a powerful all-rounder covering all output dimensions, currently the most versatile ice attribute main DPS. Compared to Regular Banner’s Attack Characters, Ellen has a relatively powerful stacking enchantment mechanism, and her main damage-dealing method does not consume energy, making her very flexible.

Pros

  • Highest DPS among all Attack characters.
  • Decent attack range and slight crowd control ability.
  • Main damage-dealing method does not consume energy.
  • Best team composition already formed.

Cons

  • Almost none.
