Jane Doe Mechanism

Mechanism of Jane – “Passion” State
Jane’s unique energy bar is called the “Passion Stream.” When Jane fills up the “Passion Stream,” she will enter the “Passion” state. In the “Passion” state, Jane gains three enhancements:

  1. Increasing Jane’s Physical Anomaly Build-up efficiency by 25%, and Jane’s ATK will increase based on her Anomaly Proficiency (AP), up to a maximum increase of 600 (at AP 420).
  2. The Dodge of Jane is improved. In the “Passion” state, her dodge becomes more agile and swift, even capable of directly passing through enemies.
  3. Jane’s Dash Attack, Dodge Counter, and Quick Assist are all enhanced, with both damage and Daze multipliers slightly increased.

How to accumulate “Passion Stream”?
How does Jane accumulate “Passion Stream” to enter the “Passion” state? There are five ways:

  1. The first method is very simple: attacking enemies. Any of Jane’s attacks can accumulate “Passion Stream.”
  2. Performing a Perfect Dodge.
  3. Triggering Jane’s Defensive Assist.
  4. Using Jane’s Chain Attack, which can directly fill up the “Passion Stream”.
  5. Finally, using her Ultimate, which, like Chain Attack, can directly fill up the “Passion Stream.”

When entering the “Passion” state, attacking consumes the “Passion Stream”, and once it’s exhausted, Jane will exit the “Passion” state. In the “Passion” state, Jane can also replenish “Passion Stream”. There are five ways to do this, four of which are the same as previously mentioned: triggering Perfect Dodge, Defensive Assist, Chain Attack, and using Ultimate. The last method is more unique. Every time Jane enters the “Passion” state, a red dot appears next to the “Passion Stream” bar. Each time the “Passion Stream” fills up, the red dot lights up. When the “Passion Stream” is below 50%, pressing and holding the Basic Attack key will consume this red dot, unleash a spinning attack – Basic Attack: Salchow Jump, and replenish about one-third of the “Passion Stream.”

Jane’s Core Passive – Insight
When Jane’s attack hits an enemy, it puts the enemy in the “Gnawed” state, lasting for 10 seconds. Any character in the team (including Jane) that triggers an Assault on an enemy in the “Gnawed” state and inflicts Flinch will extend the Flinch duration by 5 seconds, and the Assault damage has a chance to trigger a Critical Hit, with a base Crit Rate of 40% and Crit Damage of 50%. Jane’s AP increases Crit Rate by an additional 0.16% per point. As long as Jane’s AP reaches 375, the Crit Rate can reach 100%. If Seth is in the team, Seth can increase Jane’s AP by 100 points, making it easy to reach max Crit Rate.

Jane’s Team Passive – Sore Spot
When there is another Anomaly-type character in the team or if the Faction is the same as Jane’s, Jane’s physical Anomaly Build-up efficiency increases by 20%. Moreover, when an enemy is already in an abnormal state, Jane’s physical Anomaly Build-up efficiency increases by an additional 15% against that enemy.

How to operate Jane?
Since Seth will always be in the team with Jane, let’s discuss the rotation of Seth and Jane together. In battle, first switch to Seth to use Ex Special, then immediately press and hold the Basic Attack key. Jane will gain a shield and an AP buff, then switch to Jane. After Jane enters the “Passion” state, continuously use Basic Attack to attack the enemy, and dodge when the enemy attempts to attack. When the “Passion Stream” drops below 50%, press and hold the Basic Attack key to perform Basic Attack: Salchow Jump, which also replenishes the “Passion Stream,” and continue using Basic Attack until the “Passion Stream” is exhausted. Monitor Jane’s shield; when it disappears, it means Seth’s buff has ended, so switch back to Seth to replenish the shield.

Jane can also join Qingyi to form a Disorder Team, and the operation method will change. First, use a Stun character to Daze the enemy, then use Jane’s Chain Attack to fill up the “Passion Stream”, followed by Seth’s Chain Attack. Immediately press and hold Basic Attack, Jane will gain a shield and AP buff, then switch to Jane for damage output, with a chance to deal Disorder damage during the Daze Period.

When Jane triggers Perfect Dodge, Defensive Assist, or performs a move that deals damage to the enemy, she accumulates Passion Stream. Upon reaching the maximum Passion Stream, Jane enters the Passion state.
While in the Passion state, Jane’s Physical Anomaly Buildup Rate is increased by 25%. Additionally, if Jane’s Anomaly Proficiency exceeds 0.15 points, each extra point raises her ATK by 2, up to a maximum of 600.
In the Passion state, Jane’s skills that deal damage expend Passion Stream. Activating a Perfect Dodge or Defensive Assist regenerates Passion Stream. Jane exits the Passion state when all of her Passion Stream is expended.

Jane Doe Core Passive

When Jane’s attacks hit an enemy, it causes them to enter the Gnawed state, lasting for 10s. If any squad member triggers Assault on an enemy in the Gnawed state and causes the Flinch effect, the Flinch effect is increased by 5s, and Assault DMG has a chance to trigger a CRIT, with a base CRIT Rate of 20%/21%/22%/23%/24%/25%/40% and CRIT DMG of 50%. Each point of Jane’s Anomaly Proficiency further increases this CRIT Rate by 0.1%/0.11%/0.12%/0.13%/0.14%/0.15%/0.16%.

No Data Found

Key Mindscapces of Jane are M2 and M6. M2 greatly boost Jane’s’s damage, while M6 changes Jane’s playstyle.

M1 – Basic Attack: Salchow Jump’s maximum usage is increased by one. An additional red dot will appear on the Passion bar. Note that each time entering the “Passion” state still only lights up one red dot, not two. So the first effect of M1 does not actually enhance Jane. It’s for players who often forget to use Basic Attack: Salchow Jump to replenish the “Passion Stream” during battles. Therefore, the real enhancement of M1 should be the effect in the second half: “In the “Passion” state, the Anomaly Build-up rate is further increased by 15%, and each point of AP increases Jane’s damage by 0.1%, up to a maximum increase of 30%.” The Anomaly Build-up rate is very important for Jane, and the 30% damage increase is also a good boost for Jane.

M2 – When Jane attacks an enemy in the “Gnawed” state, or when any character in the team triggers an Assault on an enemy in the “Gnawed” state, it will ignore 15% of the enemy’s defense, and when Assault damage triggers a critical hit, the critical damage is increased by 50%. Since Jane only needs to hit an enemy to put them in the “Gnawed” state, this state is actually permanent. Overall, M2 allows Jane’s Assault damage to ignore 15% of the enemy’s defense and increases critical damage by 50%. M2 enhances Jane’s Assault damage by about 45%, making it the best-performing Mindscape.

M3 & M5 – All skill levels increase by two. However, since Jane’s damage mainly comes from Assault, M3 and M5 offer almost no improvement for Jane.

M4 – When any character in the team triggers an Assault or Disorder effect, the entire team’s Anomaly damage is increased by 18% for 15 seconds. Considering that M4 can increase the entire team’s Anomaly damage, M4 is more suitable for teams that can deal Disorder damage.

M6 – In the “Passion” state, Jane’s Crit Rate is increased by 20%, and Crit Damage is increased by 40%. When any character in the team triggers an Assault effect, Jane will immediately enter the “Passion” state, and the “Passion” energy will be restored to full. Moreover, when Assault damage triggers a critical hit, it will additionally launch an attack on the target, dealing physical damage equal to 1600% of Jane’s AP. The key point of M6 is that it allows Jane to always stay in the “Passion” state.

Jane Doe Best W-Engine

Jane’s signature W-engine “Sharped Stinger” significantly increases Anomaly Build-up efficiency, enabling Jane to deal more frequent Assault damage. Among 4-star W-engines, “Rain Forest Gourmet” and “Electro-Lip Gloss” are usable. However, “Weeping Gemini” and “Roading Ride” are not very suitable for Jane.

Sub Stats

For Disk Drives, 4 pcs set should use “Fanged Metal”. Why not “Freedom Blues”? “Freedom Blues” requires hitting an enemy with Ex Special to trigger its effect. Since Jane doesn’t frequently use Ex Special in battle, “Fanged Metal” is definitely more suitable. We can just use 2 pcs of “Freedom Blues”.

Main stats
Slot 4 uses Anomaly Proficiency to perfectly trigger the Core Passive’s Crit Rate buff.
Slot 5 uses Physical Attack bonus, as Jane has no damage increase herself.
Slot 6, should it be AM or ATK%? Two reasons: one, the attack power can be supplemented through sub stats; second, AP can increase Anomaly Build-up rate.

Sub stats
AP is the first priority, followed by ATK%, and then PEN. Crit Rate and Crit Dmg have very little effect on Jane, so stacking them is not recommended.

Jane Doe Team

Jane Doe Assault Team 1

Seth only needs to use Ex Special or Chain Attack to gain 75% “Revolves.” Then, by holding down the basic attack, you can trigger an Enhanced Basic Attack, which provides Jane with 100 Anomaly Proficiency. This makes it easier for Jane to achieve the Core Passive’s condition for 100% Crit Rate on Assault. Additionally, Jane gains a shield, offering a safer environment for her to deal damage. Moreover, Seth’s Team Passive can reduce the enemy’s Anomaly Buildup RES, speeding up the frequency at which Jane triggers Assault.

Rina can provide Jane with a significant PEN ratio buff, increasing Jane’s Assault damage. However, the downside is that the buff duration is too short. M1 Rina can extend the buff duration, making her the best support for Jane currently.

Jane Doe Disorder Team 2

Jane can also pair with Qingyi to create a Disorder Team, which requires a different approach. Start by using a Stun character to put the enemy into a Dazed state. Then, activate Jane’s Chain Attack to charge up the “Passion Stream,” followed by Seth’s Chain Attack. Immediately after, hold down the Basic Attack button—this will grant Jane a shield and an AP buff. Once that’s set, switch to Jane for damage output, with the added benefit of potentially dealing Disorder damage while the enemy is still Dazed.

Lucy serves as a lower-tier substitute for Rina. Lucy can provide Jane with up to 600 ATK, and the advantage is that the buff duration is longer than Rina’s. Additionally, as a 4-star character, she is easier to obtain.
