Griefville: Survive the Nightmare Story Plot
Griefville: Survive the Nightmare does not have a story. Instead, it’s a multiplayer survival horror game within Roblox. Set in the titular Griefville, you’ll use your time during the day to prepare for the nightmare portals that open at night. These portals will transport you to play multiplayer matches of Griefville’s featured horror game modes.
Griefville: Survive the Nightmare Gameplay
Griefville is a social horror game where you could play a bunch of different horror games. At night, you’ll be able to enter nightmare portals which will transport you to horror game lobbies. These nightmare modes vary, with some being more like horror shooters, and others being like Dead by Daylight, where you have to run, hide, and escape from a terrifying threat.
Griefville is inspired by the classic horror films of the 80s and 90s. As such, it aims to appeal to the shared experiences of 80s and 90s horror films of older Roblox players. A way they accomplish this is by collaborating with horror movies and bringing classic horror villains into the game. One such example is Chucky, the terrifying killer doll all 90s kids have had nightmares of. For a limited time, Chucky is available in Griefville, where you can either play as the demonic doll and kill other players, or be on the other end and try to escape his killing spree. Collaborative game modes like these will be seasonal, and will often be added into the game.
Griefville isn’t really a full-blown horror game, as the characters look like Legos and the gameplay isn’t particularly scary. You’ll also have access to weapons, which you could use to fight the supernatural threats looming. These weapons can range from horror staples like the baseball bat, or zany weapons that don’t really belong in horror games and films like potato launchers and paintball guns.
