Striking new glass entrance to Tottenham Court Road opens
Tottenham Court Road Tube station's new entrance opened today complete with a brand new 15m tall glass structure. It came as Transport for London (TfL) announced that Central line trains will stop at the station again from Monday after a twelve month hiatus. The modern new entrance, designed by architects Stanton Williams, gives customers easier access to the Northern and Central lines and marks a major milestone in TfL’s £500m upgrade of the station, which is due be fully completed in 2016.
