Story[]

Alear arrives at a ruined fortress in Brodia, which Ike recognizes as Gebal Castle from his home world. He explains that it was a fortress on the border of Crimea and Gallia, where he and his forces were forced to escape after being overwhelmed by Daein's army. He also tells that this was around where his father Greil had died, marking his first great trial as the leader of his father's mercenaries. Ike asks Alear what they would have done in that situation, which they respond to by saying they would fight to protect their friends. Ike then challenges Alear to a battle in order to strengthen their bonds, which Alear accepts.

Alear manages to defeat Ike, who compliments them on their hard work. Ike encourages Alear to not give into the pressure of future battles, and to not retreat in this war. Alear worries that fighting too hard may be a strain on their army, and Ike assures them that their personal capability and bonds will be enough to overcome their struggles. Ike tells them that he will always remain by their side, and Alear thanks him.

Trivia[]

  • The layout of this map is pulled from Chapter 8 of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
    • A Sage that references Ilyana drops Elthunder and is in the same place that Ilyana was in on the original map.
    • Unlike the version of the map in Path of Radiance, which is based on a Defend objective, certain walls are destructible. When the player advances forces beyond a certain point, Ike, positioned directly north of the castle structure, will destroy the castle itself.
