Why college is not the only way to achieve your career goals

Michael Sayman, also known as 'the App Kid,' was once one of Facebook's youngest employees. At only 17 years old, he became their teen-in-residence, per se, but how did he do it? Sayman spoke with Living Not So Fabulously hosts David & John Auten-Schneider and described how he skipped college and went straight to the big leagues. While his teachers lectured that without college, he and his peers would find themselves living under a bridge, Sayman instead asked himself what referrals and a degree have in common. He concluded that it's all about "trust that the person can do the job." So instead of school (which he knew he couldn't afford), Sayman focused on building trust through his small business, Friendly Apps, treating his digital accomplishments as their own resume, and it seems he was successful.
