Acid is a Blue Magic spell learned by Quistis from the Mystery Fluid item obtained from the Gayla or its card via refining. Acid does non-elemental damage to one enemy and adds a status effect depending on the current Crisis Level; the lower her HP, the higher the chance of using the highest Crisis Level version of the move.
The enemy version of this ability is the Malboro's Dissolving Acid, which works slightly differently from Quistis's Blue Magic spell, always inflicting Vit 0 and dealing fractional damage.
