Go to the page of the file (for example: this page) and click edit on top. Copy the codes above and fill them up. Do not upload duplicates. Do not upload files under improper file names. The file names need to describe the image, not random numbers and/or letters. Read the Image Policy first before doing anything. The image had a good rationale and licensing, however you need to remove the words from the picture, we don't allow manga pictures to still have words. In addition, your filename was "Manga.jpg" which violates our good filename policy. A more appropriate filename would be "Gray Groping Juvia.jpg" or something of that nature. Yeah, but before you sign up for a job, you have to okay it with me because if a job needs expanding then there's a chance that you should't be referencing it before the expanding. And here's my tutorial:
Okay, the secret to image placement is just understanding a few basic rules:
- Most, if not all images in articles will be 200px. If you do not set the images at 200px 9 times out of 10, you are placing the image wrong.
- Alternate image placement. If the previous image in the article was placed left then the next image needs to be placed right.
- Images should rarely if ever leak into the next section heading. For example: If I put a picture at the end of Mirajane's appearance section and it leaks into her personality section then I've placed the image wrong.
- The section leaking can be fixed by puttting a {{Clear}} template at the end of the section but be warned: Clear templates should NEVER create more than a small space after the text. If they create a huge amount of white space then both the clear template and the image that is leaking over should be removed immediately!
- Images should be right beside the text they describe. For example: if you put an image that shows Erza punching Gajeel then it needs to be beside text that shows Erza punching Gajeel.
- There should always be a good picture-to-text ratio. What I mean by this is, if you have a paragraph that has something that is important enough to illustrate then put a picture there but only if the picture fits good.
- There should hardly ever be a paragraph with more than one picture and if there is, that paragraph can probably be split into two.
- The most important thing to remember about image placement is: if it doesn't look good or natural, then it probably shouldn't be there.

Referencing is quite easy. Basically, it's citing sources to confirm that the written statement did happen and is true, meaning not speculation. Some obvious things, like a person's hairstyle, doesn't necessarily need referencing. However, if it's something specific like what their particular hobbies, that could use referencing. Here's an example:
- Natsu is a lean, well-built young man of average height with light tan skin, black eyes, and spiky rose-colored hair. He always wears a scarf detailed with white scales, given to him by his adoptive father, Igneel. Natsu has a scar on the right side of his neck which is visible in the few instances he doesn't wear his scarf. His guild member's stamp is colored red and is located at the top of his right arm, just below his shoulder.
See the parts I bold in the text? Those are statements that need references. Now, here's how it looks when the paragraph is referenced (and not purposely bold, like how I just did it):
- Natsu is a lean, well-built young man of average height with light tan skin, black eyes, and spiky rose-colored hair. He always wears a scarf detailed with white scales, given to him by his adoptive father, Igneel. Alright, now on "how" to reference. Firstly, almost all of our references come from the manga, so that means if you're going to reference stuff you have to read the manga period. Some things are anime-only and only contain references from the anime; that is acceptable, but if they can also be found in the manga, it's preferable to use the latter source. Let's say I'm referencing the 2nd and 3rd page of Chapter 100. This is how I write the reference:
- <ref>Fairy Tail Manga: Chapter 100, Pages 2-3</ref>
Now let's say I'm referencing a scene from Episode 45 in the anime. I would type:
- <ref>Fairy Tail Anime: Episode 45</ref>
Understand all of that? Those are examples of how we normally reference pieces from the manga and anime.
Now, here's a slightly tricky part. Let's say you're referencing a page from Chapter 20 that can be used in both the Plot section and Powers & Abilities section of an article. If you reference both pieces the same way, then it will create a duplicate reference on the page. To avoid this, you make two specific reference. To do so, you need to "name" the first reference and use that for the other; this way, it doesn't necessarily create a duplicated type of reference.
Let's say the reference can be found on Page 20 in Chapter 20. You would type a specific code instead of just <ref> at the beginning of the reference. You would type something such as <ref name=Ch20 Pg20> at the beginning. The "Ch20 Pg20" is an example of the reference name. You can change it to however you want to name the reference, as long as it's fitting with the source you're using. Now, here's what a reference would look like that:
- <ref name=Ch20 Pg20>Fairy Tail Manga: Chapter 20, Page 20</ref>
Now how do you use that same reference for other statements in the article? You would type the reference name exactly like how you did in the first one, but with a closing tag at the end. It would look like this on the editing page:
- <ref name=Ch20 Pg20/>
Got it? Well, those are basic instructions how to reference (that I can explain as simply as my humanity can). This is a good tutorial on how to be a good referencer, as an efficient one would need to know how to do it right. Also, don't mind that message at the bottom of your talk page that's in large red font. It's something related to the references I made here that isn't very important. Err, you do realize that if you wanted help in things like expanding articles, you could have asked that instead of saying "teach me how to be a good referencer," because that's indicating you need help in references only.
Anyway, it's not very difficult, and really, I'm not sure how to teach you on being good at things like expansion or reorganizing, aside from giving you a few tips such as this:
- Expanding Articles
- You add more information on the particular subject. For example, if it was a Light Magic article you're expanding, you add and reference more information about the article where needed. Make the extra information relevant; things such as how Light Magic and Fairy Law, Glitter, or Sphere are similar is not relevant (these kinds of things are often added in some articles). Information that's relevant would be the different ways that Light Magic is used, such as offensive or defensive.
- Rewording Articles
- Some articles have bad grammar or are used incorrectly grammar-wise. You have to change these paragraphs and sentences, improving the text. Most articles with some good worded statements usually aren't fragment sentences, to add to this. When you reword articles, it's often a good idea to be very detailed and descriptive about the subject, but try not to overdetail it because it can bore some readers and/or make the sentence less interesting to read (like this one now, lol).
- Reorganizing Articles
- Reorganizing is moving different sentences, paragraphs, and/or sections to make the article look neater. Let's say you're reorganizing a character article. Saying that the character has blue or brown eyes (as an example) is something that goes in the Appearances section, so if it's in something like the Personality section, you need to move that where properly needed.
