Time Magic

Time Magic (時の魔法 Toki no Mahō) is a Caster Magic that makes use of any aspect or property of time.

Description[]

This form of Magic allows the user to control time to a degree, present day forms of this Magic appear to be limited, such as slightly altering the perception of time and effecting only sentient beings within the area of the caster.^[1]

More ancient and advanced forms of this Magic studied by Mildian are shown greater control over time, as the city worship the deity of time; Chronos, whether it be warping it to slow down or completely pause the world's time.^[2] Instruments can be used in conjunction with the caster's Magic, for example Ultear Milkovich using crystal orbs to attack with or increase a user's power. Even then these types are still limited at how much they effect time or even certain targets.^[3]

Immense quantities of Magic power can augment the range of one's control over time,^[4] allowing the casters and even Magic Items such as the Eclipse Gate the ability to travel through time and able to be initiated after fulfilling the requirements to access the item (i.e. using the Celestial Spirit Gate Keys or the actual life force of the user).^[5] However, effecting time of this level causes temporal anomalies and distortions such as Space Between Time, a magical power source that can lead into being given access to a time valley, is among the magics that allow the user to control time if harnessed.^[6]

Some Time casters are able to access the valley of time known as the Rift in Space and Time, a world and state that act as the interval between space and time as well as bring others into it. Some time users can enter without permission of the original caster.^[7][8]
