🧅 Onions are a cool weather crop and like to go into the garden while the weather is still brisk! In Zone 6a where I live, we plant ours mid March and harvest usually mid-July.

I personally have better success when I plant from onion ‘seedlings’ versus sets. Sets are the little bulb that looks dried out. I usually plant storage onions so it is super important that we give them plenty of time to dry out so they store well! You can use lots of different things to set them on so they dry put properly - some people use skid pallets, wire fencing, or, in our example, we use old metal condenser cages 🤣 My husband is in HVAC and they work perfect 👌🏽 Keep them in a cool, dry place to dry out. Sorry car - no garage for you in the Summer! Onions and Garlic take priority 🤣
