Just published an article based on the talk I delivered at the #WebKit Contributors meeting 2 weeks ago, summarizing the work on WebKit that we did at Igalia in the past 12 months: "Igalia and WebKit: status update and plans": https://lnkd.in/d8UyEk2q. Original slides also available at https://lnkd.in/dx2Pg46T, if you prefer a more compact format.

This year, Igalia hosted another successful #Linux Display Next hackfest, and the outcomes of participants' collaborations are still unfolding in project updates that emerged from the discussions at this event. It was incredible to connect with talented individuals and collaborate on driving the next steps of the Linux display stack. As part of the organization of this event, I wrote a blog post to share a bit of this experience:

Each year since 2020, Igalia has joined with browser vendors to work on the annual Interop project, to jointly prioritize the advancement of web interoperability. We begin the process with a call for proposals, asking the larger web development community what features they want to see included in Interop 2025. From today through October 3rd, 2024, the feature submission form is open to one and all. For insight into how proposals will ultimately be chosen, see the Interop 2025 proposal selection process. Prioritization is difficult, but it depends heavily on having things to consider and signals to discuss. We encourage you to take part in the process by submitting pain points, liking or commenting on other submissions, and helping send signals through public discussions on social media, blogs, and anywhere else. In the end, this is about all of us. The Interop team looks forward to your thoughts!

Our colleague Tvrtko Ursulin wrote a blog post about the Linux DRM scheduling cgroup controller and how he wired Intel and AMD GPU kernel drivers up to the controller: https://lnkd.in/eRf2pXGu An excellent read!
