Talk:Baltic Sea Coast (Germany)
Can you explain why it is applied only to Germany? Someone did it by purpose or accidentally forget about Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Sweden? Vide:
I am really confused although I may not understand why it was done in that way. Before you attack me, please try to explain me why I am not right because from my point of view wikivoyage is (terribly!) Germano-centric.1Arena1hu (talk) 22:43, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
- Because this article is about the Baltic Sea coast of Germany. Here's the breadcrumb trail: Europe > Central Europe > Germany > Northern Germany > Baltic Sea Coast. Also, see the beginning of the article: "The Baltic Sea Coast (Ostseeküste) of Germany is..." I believe the reason why there's such good coverage of Germany on this site is largely because the pioneers who started Wikivoyage were German-speakers. Nothing terrible about that; it just means we need better coverage of other areas, and I'm glad you're here to help somewhat in doing that. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:07, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
- And I think the article you're looking for is Baltic states. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:08, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
- Hmmm...No! Maybe not! There's also Cruising the Baltic Sea and Baltic Sea ferries, though. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:09, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
German article
[edit]Hi! Oddly, there's no German article on this topic. It should be created at de:Deutsche Ostseeküste, adjacent to de:Deutsche Nordseeküste. While vice versa the North Sea Coast (Germany) article is lacking here. Funny stuff. If anyone's willing to help, I'll do it rightaway. Cheers, Horst-schlaemma (talk) 12:00, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
pictures
[edit]I think this article could do with some pictures (there are some on wikimedia commons) how 'bout this one for example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chalk_Cliffs_on_R%C3%BCgen I personally don't like the artist, but he is famous (for some reason) and he painted a lot of stuff along the german baltic coast...141.30.210.129 17:27, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
- Sure, and/or insert good recent photos from Commons, as you mention. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:57, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
- how about this one http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Kap-Arkona-2007.jpg (Rügen) this one: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Obertrave_L%C3%BCbeck_328-33h.jpg or this one: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Holstentor_03.jpg (both from Lübeck) or any in this category http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Nature_of_Mecklenburg-Vorpommern141.30.210.129 18:31, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
- Those two look good to me, although the night photo is a bit pixelated. From the category, just pick one you like. You don't need a consensus to post a thumbnail. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:48, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

The regions breakdown
[edit]In "best" de-WP fashion, the region breakdown includes one non-article and does not actually break down the whole region into regions. I am not sure how to fix this, but I think it should not stay this way. Hobbitschuster (talk) 12:03, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
