Two OpenAIs

[edit]

It would appear OpenAI is twice on the list, because both sources put OpenAI in different spots. Does anyone know how to fix that? XCBRO172 (talk) 18:05, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to make them clickable but they were blocked. If the user clicked there it means they really do want to go there. Also, why is roblox blocked? I thought that was pretty weird. Efantasion (talk) 02:53, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Twitter/X

[edit]

I don't think Twitter and X should be 2 separate listings since Twitter.com redirects to x.com GamerKlim9716 (talk) 01:16, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This entire list is suspect

[edit]

As of September 2024, the current #49 "most-visited website" as listed by similarweb.com (and therefore this article) is lazlogistics.ph, a website whose homepage is a plaintext-only 404. If I were to guess, this is a enterprise-facing domain owned by Lazada used for logistical purposes like tracking packages, but WHOIS returns nothing. Notably, Lazada.com itself is not on this list.

Similarweb has been the primary source for this entire article. The data it publishes is obfuscated, does not use units, and their methodology is unknown. We do know, however, that they try to keep websites that users do not directly navigate to off their list, like youtu.be, t.co, and googleapis.com. This is a failure of that, and it's embarrassing that Similarweb did not even check if the website 404s before putting it on their top 50 list for 3 months now. It is unclear to me whether this company should be considered a reputable source at all. 207.181.229.29 (talk) 01:28, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
