Pavel Rychagov

Pavel Rychagov (January 2nd 1911-October 28th 1941)[1] was the Commander of the Soviet Air Forces (VVS) for a brief time from August 28th 1940 to April 14th 1941.[2] He was removed from that position shortly before Operation Barbarossa and the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War, and was executed in the Great Purges several months later.[3][4]
