Ehud Shani
Maj. Gen. Ehud Shani (b. May 9, 1957) is a general in the Israel Defense Forces and currently Head of C4I and Senior Field Commander. Born in Haifa, Shani went to "Reali" High School, a military boarding school. He first joined the IDF Armor Corps in 1975 as an elisted soldier, but the following year he attended officer school to become an officer. In 1982 he took a break from his military career to study at Bar-Ilan University, where he received a B.A. in Economics and Social Science.
