Small Dog Electronics is an American consumer electronics and information technology consulting business based in Waitsfield, Vermont. Founded and operated by Don Mayer,[1] the business has grown from a small computer repair and reselling business into an Apple Specialist and manufacturer of iPod accessories like speakers[2] and headphones. Most of the firm's employees bring their pet dogs to work each day.[3] Says owner Mayer: "The dogs are a reminder to keep my business small and friendly. That's why we named it Small Dog."[4] As part of the strategy to keep the business community friendly, Mayer has taken a leadership role in computer electronics recycling[5] and promoting green energy sources in Vermont.[6]
