This source says that Qarase is from Kabara. I am aware that he owns a property on Vanua Balavu, but is he in fact originally from there?

If anybody can provide an additional source, we can change this article (and the VB one also) accordingly. David Cannon 10:48, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The site listing Mr Lasenia Qarase as being from Kabara is incorrect, he is from Vanua Balavu, from the village of Mavana. Please check this site, http://www.fiji.gov.fj/cgi-bin/cms/exec/view.cgi/42/2371, where he himself indicates he is from Vanua Balavu. I think Mr Robert Keith Read was misinformed when he indidcated Mr Qarase was from Kabara.
