London Buses route 493 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Richmond and St George's Hospital, Tooting, it is operated by London General.

History

Route 493 commenced operating on 23 November 2002 between Richmond and St George's Hospital via East Sheen, Roehampton, Wimbledon and Tooting. It was operated by Mitcham Belle.

The route was included in the 27 August 2004 sale of Mitcham Belle to Centra.[1]

When Centra ceased, the route passed to Armchair Passenger Transport on an interim basis on 20 May 2006.[2] When put up for re-tender, it passed to NCP Challenger on 31 March 2007.[3] When next tendered, it passed to London General's Waterside Way garage on 31 March 2012.[4][5]
