Susan RoAne

Susan RoAne is an American author and speaker.^[2] She is known for her business networking self-help books.^[3][4] RoAne is the author of several books including How To Work a Room,^[5][6] which reached number one on Book-of-the-Month Club's list of best-selling nonfiction books.^[1]

RoAne was born in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Mather High School. She has a Master's Degree from San Francisco State University and a bachelor's from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.^[1] A former teacher, she has spoken at the University of Texas School of Law^[7] and an NYU alumni event.^[8]

She has been published in Success,^[9] Harper's,^[10] and Inc. magazine,^[11] along with being quoted in The Wall Street Journal,^[12] Canada's Globe and Mail,^[13] Chicago Tribune,^[14] New York Times,^[15] Entrepreneur,^[16] and Cosmo.^[17] She has also been heard on radio programs including NPR affiliates.^[18][19]
