Mirrors, Clones

All of the mirrors seem to be either clones of each other or copies--and I really want to clean it up. It would be useful to create a family tree of these, since there are definite parent / child / sibling relationships between the code of the mirrors.

As an update to this, a diff of the Fogleman / Drrae javascript produces the following:

>diff all-drae.js all-fogleman.js

>

which is to say--nothing. They're identical. In a minute I'm going to diff and group all the mirrors...

Notability

This website was around for less than one day. Is it really notable enough to have its own page? This may be an example of googlecruft. I'd recommend one sentence or two on the google (search engine) page and a redirect. As to AlistairMcMillan, I'm currently looking for some more mirrors just in case. Seeking feedback on Google Groups article

Hello. I wrote an article about a related topic, Google Groups. As a new Wikipedia writer, I would appreciate any feedback on my article. Please help me by posting your feedback at the Wikipedia:Article Feedback Desk. If you wrote an article and are seeking feedback on it, please post your article at the Article Feedback Desk as well. If you could suggest better ways for me to seek feedback on my article, do leave a note at my talk page. --J.L.W.S. The Special One 13:14, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spam

There is no need for an entire section of the article devoted to an edited version of the modified version of Google X, so I have removed it. IolakanaT 11:51, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's not how patents work!

If violations of this patent (including tributes like the Google X interface) go unprosecuted, this patent may lapse.

That's not how patents work. Trademarks work like that, but not patents. At least not in the US. dougmc 17:03, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Googlex.png

Image:Googlex.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
