I have an MA and BA in philosophy, though I do not presently work in academia.

Among my areas of interest are ancient Greek, Indian and Chinese philosophy, American pragmatism, Kantian and post-Kantian transcendental philosophy, phenomenology and early socialist theory and history. I'm also interested in jazz and blues music and in silent film comedy.

I've mostly made contributions on nineteenth and early twentieth century socialists. My articles include biographies of Raphael Abramovich, Jean Allemane, Nikolai Annensky, Andrei Argunov, Nikolai Avksentiev, Edgar Bauer, Zéphyrin Camélinat, Abram Combe, Nikolai Danielson, Théodore Dézamy, Moritz Wilhelm Drobisch, Émile Eudes, Georg Fein, Friedrich Feuerbach (one of Ludwig's brothers), Avram Gots, Mikhail Gots, Ernest Granger, John Gray, Karl Grün and Albert Grün, Anne Jaclard, Victor Jaclard, Arkadi Kremer, Pati Kremer, Ekaterina Kuskova, Richard Lahautière, Albert Laponneraye, Jules Lechevalier, Mikhail Liber, German Lopatin, Benoît Malon, Venedikt Miakotin, Paule Mink, Osip Minor, Jules Miot, Joseph Moll, Mark Natanson, Constantin Pecqueur, Charles Pellarin, Jean-Jacques Pillot, Alekandr Potresov, Sergei Prokopovich, Mark Rein, Hippolyte Renaud, Arkady Rosengolts, Louis Rousseau, Ilya Rubanovich, Vadim Rudnev, Nikolai Rusanov, Karl Schapper, Abel Transon, Gustave Tridon, Nikolai Valentinov, Eugène Varlin, Mark Vishniak, Feliks Volkhovsky, Vasily Vorontsov, Luigi Wolff, Vladimir Zenzinov, Nikolai Ziber, the Vilna Group, the SR Maximalists, the Popular Socialists, the Neo-Babouvists, the Kienthal Conference, the Internationalist/Defencist Schism in European socialism during World War 1, and several others.

I've also made contributions to several articles I did not initiate, although I've generally left other people's articles alone and concentrated on supplying articles where Wikipedia still had none. I've also made a few contributions to French and German Wikipedia. In addition I've uploaded some public domain images relevant to these and other topics.

I'm a fairly new contributor (since February 2011), and some of my articles need improvement (I'm working on it). I am still somewhat learning the ropes, but getting better I hope. Any help is always welcome. Chastra (talk) 19:29, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
