John P. Wheeler III
John "Jack" P. Wheeler III (? - December 2010) was a former chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, former chief executive of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and a presidential aid to the Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush administrations.
John Wheeler III wrote Touched With Fire, a book about the post-war experiences of Vietnam soldiers and anti-war protesters.
Death
He was allegedly last seen on December 28th on an Amtrak train in Wilmington, Delaware[1], where his body was later found in a landfill on December 31, 2010.[2] Police have claimed that "all the stops made Friday (Dec. 31) by the garbage truck before it arrived at the landfill involved large commercial disposal bins in Newark, several miles from Wheeler's home."
