The Hellbilly Deluxe 2 World Tour is a current concert tour by solo artist Rob Zombie that started in October 2009 in support of his fourth studio album Hellbilly Deluxe 2. The tour currently consists of 6 legs spanning across Japan, the United States, Canada and Australia. Tommy Clufetos performed drums on the first two legs of the tour but left the group shortly after the release of the band's latest album. Joey Jordison of Slipknot was hired as his replacement. While on tour during the Mayhem Festival, Zombie announced in an interview that once he has completed the tour, he will be embarking on a co-headlining Halloween tour of the United States with Alice Cooper followed by a European tour. This will be the first time the band has performed in Europe in over ten years.[1] The band have also been announced as co-headliners for the 2011 Soundwave Festival in Australia.[2]

Japan Tour

Before the band embarked on an extensive tour across North America, they performed two shows in Japan. These dates were Zombie's first headlining dates since 2007. The band performed one show in Tokyo and co-headlined the Loudpark Festival in Chiba, Japan. The band premiered the song What? during their show in Tokyo which would later became the first single off their upcoming album.[3]

North American Tour

After performing two dates in Japan, Zombie returned to North America for an extensive tour spanning 29 dates across the United States and Canada. The bands Nekromantix and Captain Clegg & the Night Creatures, the fictional band from Halloween II, served as the opening acts for all dates.[7] Another fictional character from the film, Uncle Seymour Coffins, hosted the Los Angeles show on Halloween.[8] The tour supported Zombie's unreleased album of the same name. The tour spanned from late October to early December. It was also the last leg of the tour to feature Tommy Clufetos on drums who left the band after the release of Hellbilly Deluxe 2 to join Ozzy Osbourne.[9]

The Gruesome Twosome Tour

Zombie had expressed interest in touring with Alice Cooper for 15 years.[12] The two united to create the Gruesome Twosome Tour which spanned 17 co-headlining dates across North America, 3 festival appearances and an appearance at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards ceremony. It was also the first tour to introduce Joey Jordison on drums who was announced in early March to be performing with Zombie for all of his upcoming spring and summer tour dates. He was contacted by John 5 and asked if he knew any drummers he could recommened for the upcoming tours after the departure of Tommy Clufetos. Jordison suggested himself and was immediately recruited by the band.[13]The tour featured a new stage set-up and appearance for the band who began to wear more detailed costuming and make-up. The band also filmed the video for the song Mars Needs Women during this leg of the tour. The band kicked off the tour on April 8 with a performance at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show.[14]

Mayhem Festival

The band was announced to be co-headlining the festival with Korn in early January.[27] The festival marked the first time the two bands have toured with each other in 11 years.[28] The tour began on July 10 and will conclude on August 14. The band also scheduled signings at the Roadrunner tent on every stop of the tour.[29] While performing in North Carolina, John 5 jumped off a riser and broke his foot.[30] Despite the injury, he continued to perform and finished the rest of the set. He stated that this incident will not prevent him from performing and that he will continue to play for the rest of the tour.[31]

Halloween Hootenanny Tour

While in Mountain View, California, a local San Francisco radio station conducted an interview with Joey Jordison.[34] During this interview, Jordison announced that Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper and Jordison's current band the Murderdolls will be touring together in the same manner as Zombie and Cooper's previous tour, The Gruesome Twosome tour. The upcoming tour has been dubbed the Halloween Hootenanny tour.[35] Jordison also stated that he will be performing double duties on the tour, drumming for Zombie and playing rhythm guitar for the Murderdolls. Zombie had also previously announced in an interview conducted while on the Mayhem Festival that he was going to be embarking on a Halloween tour, but no more details were revealed.[36] John 5 recently confirmed the tour on his website along with three tour dates. Zombie also confirmed the tour in his latest Twitter post.[37]
