John Benton (June 23, 1969) is an internationally elite curler from the United States.

He started curling in 1975 and made his first US Junior National Championships in 1987. In 1998 he qualified for his first Olympic Trials where he placed fifth. In 2009 he competed in his third Olympic Trials. This time he won and earned the right to compete at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games[1].

His qualified as the Lead for John Shuster's rink. His other teammates are Jason Smith and Jeff Isaacson. Chris Plys joined the team as alternate after the 2009 Olympic Trials.

In April of 2009 he participated in the Men's Curling World Championships. His team placed fifth with a 7 - 4 record.
