International response to Hurricane Katrina

"Poor countries such as El Salvador, Argentina, and Sri Lanka offered help to the USA. It is also noteworthy that countries which have bad relation with United States also proposed help: Cuba and Venezuela. US Citizens may not be aware of this due to poor information by mainstream media outlets."

I’ve worked on International response to Hurricane Katrina, precisely because it provides information about the international community that might otherwise get lost. I was the one who included El Salvador, Sri Lanka, Cuba and Venezuela. But when a paragraph like this is included (which is clearly Point of View) the whole article risks deletion. That’s why I removed it. Try to incorporate that information (in accordance with Wikipedia guidelines of course) in a more relevant article, such as Political effects of Hurricane Katrina or Media bias in the United States. Thanks. --Tsaddik Dervish 03:22, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
