Kiev Governorate was a governorate of the Russian Empire, created in 17th/18th century Russia from territories gained from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and expanded in 1781 after the First Partition of Poland from the remaining territory of the Kiev Voivodeship.

Kiev Governorate was one of the three governorates of the Southwestern Krai.

Its capital city was Kiev.

Majority of the population of the governorate was Ukrainian.
