Aquilonia is a Mordern day France. It was first called the Gaul after the tribe Gaul during the Roman Empire. After the fall of Roman Empire, Atila the Hun became King of the region. After death of Atila the new tribe of barbarian called Franks took over power. The nation was named France after the Franks. In fact Aquilonia is another name for France during the Roman Empire.
