Editing after a vanish

[edit]

Courtesy vanishing is done with an expectation that a user will not make any further edits. If you intend to return to editing, I will reverse the rename, unless you have another preferred username. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 17:40, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Tamzin. If it’s ok with you can you leave it for now? For now I simply commented as I noticed my account was name dropped in a discussion, (which I had no interest in getting involved with and did not get involved with). But as someone who edited Wikipedia for many years, I was amazed by the outcome of said discussion, and changed something via a page move from something which is completely false and made up, so as to not mislead people. This is a responsibility that should fall on the shoulders of all Wikipedians to ensure what is presented on Wikipedia is accurate and verifiable to reliable sources, but unfortunately many fail to meet this test now days. If Wikipedia becomes a serious, reliable source driven place again, rather than a dumbed down opinion site, I may come back, so will bear this in mind. - Renamed user 189543756 (talk) 09:39, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
