They weren't not carried out in Manchester - it was a national poll!!! Not wishing to be rude - but please stop proposing stupid ideas which are not based on fact! Recent addition of text copied over from Manchester

I saw that recently, relevant text from the Manchester page was copied into this article; and then subsequently removed, commented as vandalism (which it wasn't). I replaced it as I think it seems like a good idea to move that text here. It still needs some work, but I think now the section in Manchester can be cut down in size, with this identified as the main article for that section. --David Edgar 16:42, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

9th Biggest Population?

Whoever has decided to but this sentence in has missed the point that Manchester is the centre of Greater Manchester, which houses the third biggest population in the UK. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Albatross89 (talkcontribs) 09:21, 14 November 2012 (UTC) Now amended. 86.12.129.2 (talk) 11:41, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
