Stevie Wermers
Stevie Wermers-Skelton is a Disney story artist and director.[1] She co-directed the 2D animated short How To Hook Up Your Home Theater (2007) and ABC Christmas Special Prep and Landing (2009) with Kevin Deters.[2] It has been reported that she is historically Walt Disney Animation Studios first screen-credited female director. (However, some would say that she was preceded by director Jun Falkenstein who directed Disney's 2000 theatrical release The Tigger Movie. The Tigger Movie started off as a Walt Disney Television Animation direct-to-video production, but was later deemed to be worthy of a full theatrical release.) It was included in the Animation Show of Shows in 2007.
Stevie Wermers is currently co-writing and co-directing The Ballad of Nessie, another 2D animated short for Walt Disney Animation Studios. She studied animation at the California Institute of the Arts.
