Marco Arment is an American iOS and web developer, as well as a technology writer, and magazine editor, living in Westchester, New York.

Marco worked as a lead developer of the Tumblr blogging platform[1] from Tumblr's founding in April 2007 until September 2010.[2] He left Tumblr (which has approximately 2 million registered accounts[3] and hosted over 38 million blogs as of December 2011[4]) to concentrate fully on Instapaper[5][6], a bookmark and reading service that he founded and currently operates.

Between November 2010 and December 2012, Marco hostsed his very own podcast show, Build and Analyze, together with Dan Benjamin on 5by5 Studios.

In October 2012, Marco released The Magazine, an iOS exclusive publication that comes out twice a month.

As of January 2013, Marco's blog, which was started in December 2006, receives about 600,000 page views per month.[7]
