The RMS Monroe was a british passenger ocean liner that was torpedoed by the Luftwaffe in 1941. It sank in 27 minutes 9 lifeboats as they were enough for everyone everyone got off the ship safely but the captain. The u-boat fired at the lifeboats sinking them 5 lifeboats were sunk and they shot the people in the water as well.
The image above is the vessel's last moments. In this picture the ship was refitted to 2 funnels in 1940 the whole ship shot up in smoke and literally blew apart 27 minutes later.
