Revealing Myself.

So I was the One Who First put in the "Host Selection" to put The Host Swap for Cameroon, Ivory Coast, And Guinea as well as the Stripping of Guinea as Host. I Did it on a alt. I didn't think at the time that it would be Changed and Put more Detailed by Several others. Thanks to those who Did do it. Hopefully we can chat. Orange Anomaly. Tiebreakers?

Is there any info about tiebreaking rule in this 2023 AFCON? HiddenFace101 (talk) 11:50, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Guinea-Bissau

I'm pretty sure Guinea-Bissau is mathematically eliminated from the Round of 16, as even in the best case scenario with a Guinea-Bissau win and Ivory Coast loss, they will be tied in third with three points, but since Ivory Coast beat them head to head, they win the tiebreaker. This used to be reflected in the article but it got reversed, am I missing something? Monkegaming123 (talk) 03:30, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, H2H record is applied as the first criteria. Guinea-Bissau have lost to Ivory Coast, which mean they are confirmed to be eliminated even if they beat Nigeria (4pts). Overall, that win alone would not impact the table. HiddenFace101 (talk) 04:48, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Refresh time?

How long do the table stats (points, GD, goals for, etc) and rankings take to refresh? Looks like I can't edit them myself because they are autogenerated. Wikiboss4065 (talk) 17:36, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ghana

Ghana can still be one of the four best third-place teams, yesno? If Cameroon draw with Gambia, and Morocco beat Zambia. 81.140.24.94 (talk) 22:17, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Map

Please, correct the map: Cabo Verde is missing. 102.222.141.169 (talk) 13:46, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Could you, please, update the map? Cabo Verde is not there. Thank you. 38.44.74.165 (talk) 19:49, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Knockout phase

Why the knockout phase was deleted? What happened? LKR23 (talk) 22:41, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not happy about the knockout stages been removed and should be back where it belongs 77.98.238.217 (talk) 22:47, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

And where is the ranking of the teams? It was there before? 109.240.21.250 (talk) 06:15, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if it was there before, but all previous Cup of Nations articles do have final rankings. The rankings for teams ranked from #5 to #24 are known by now... 46.132.3.220 (talk) 06:40, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Indicating the host in the rankings

The "(H)" in the group rankings is OK, although it could also easily do without it. But is it necessary for the ranking of the third-placed teams? There it doesn't really matter who the host is. --Theurgist (talk) 13:58, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
