Early Life and Education

Kristan Hawkins holds a B.A. in political science from Bethany College in West Virginia.[2] Hawkins worked for the Republican National Committee in college to reelect President George Bush and for a year, she worked in Bush’s administration.[3]

Current Events

On June 25 2022, Hawkins went on CNN and had a discussion with Pamela Brown about abortion laws in a post Roe Vs Wade America.[4]

In October 2022, Hawkins was involved in a legal controversy after she was interviewed by two Yale students posing as pro-lifers who granted her a false award. The interview was filmed with the intent to use the footage in a satirical video being composed by the same students, with the goal of exposing the reality of conservatism in the Yale community. Hawkins's legal team served the students with a cease-and-desist order[5]. [5]

On Kristan Hawkins “Make Abortion Illegal Again Tour”, it brought her to University of Cincinnati, where she spoke at Tangeman University Center (TUC) on October 4th, 2022. UC students arranged the event, and UC Young Democratic Socialists of America (UC YDSA) organized a counter-protest outside while Kristan spoke. Kristan went on to explain that she believes that we no longer live in a world where abortion is not normal. Many people are going against Hawkins and Students for Life entirely, causing a lot of unwanted backlash towards them. [6]

Kristan Hawkins and co-host Isabel Brown were invited to speak at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) by Students for Life VCU. At the speaking venue, Hawkins and Brown were shouted at by protestors during their speech. Police asked Hawkins to leave the room to prevent further escalation, and she initially refused. Eventually, Hawkins and other pro-life students were contained in a locked safe room where they continued conversation with some pro-life students. EMT’s were called to the scene to treat injuries and several complaints were filed. Two protestors were arrested, neither of which were VCU students. One protestor was charged with simple assault and the other was charged with disorderly conduct. The rest of the protestors walked away from the scene. SFLA is providing security for Autumn Walser, the president of Students for Life at VCU, “ for the near future” until it is deemed safe for her on campus[7].

Kristan Hawkins, president SFLA, called “Lies Pro Choicers Believe.” Held the event, (Lies Pro Choicers Believe) at UNH with Isabel Brown a conservative commentator with Turning Point USA one Tuesday, April 18 at 6:30 pm in the MUB. The event was countered by a “Choice & Cupcakes” event held in the same building at the same time, this event was postponed due to UNH wanting to avoid any perception that the university opposed a student event[8].
