Redlands High School is located in Redlands, California, United States. It is the oldest public high school in the State of California still functioning on its original site and the first "unified high school" forming from three elementary school districts. Its campus includes the historic Clock Auditorium built in 1928. For much of the school's history it was the only public high school for the cities, Redlands, Mentone, Loma Linda, California, Yucaipa, and Highland, California. Today it is one of three high schools in the district and still includes students from all the cities. The population was split in 1997 when Redlands East Valley High School opened. As for the ethnic distribution of the school, 41% is classified as White (not Hispanic), 32% Hispanic or Latino, 11% Asian, 8% African American, 4% Filipino, .5% Native American or Alaskan Native, .5% Pacific Islander, and 3% not classified.

The Redlands High School Speech and Debate Team, recognized nationally, has maintained 20 consecutive years since the year 1986 - 2006, as the champions of the Citrus Belt League. Redlands participates throughout the year, in competitions across the country. The RHS team is a hardworking and dedicated group towards the speech and debate world. As the competition grows in the Citrus Belt League, the RHS Speech and Debate hopes to excel for following years to come not only at the league level, but also at state and national levels.

For the third consecutive year the RHS Academic Decathlon Team has won the San Bernardino County Championship. The Terriers were dominant, finishing in First Place in eight of ten events and finishing in Second Place in the remaining two events. RHS also swept the overall individual awards. No school has ever won this event in three consecutive years.

In 2003-04, Redlands High School athletic teams captured 4 Citrus Belt League Championships. Both Women's Waterpolo and Men's Tennis captured California Interscholastic Federation titles for their divisions. Redlands won the California Interscholastic Federation football championship in 1911 and 1961. Redlands High School also won the divisional California Interscholastic Federation tennis championship in 2004.

2006 - Redlands Terrirer Football set a school record with a 12-1 season. They became the first team in school history to record 12 wins in a season. Their only loss came in the semifinal round against the Norco Cougars.

The "Hobachi" is official Redlands High Schools newspaper which is compiled by the Hobachi class. The "Hobachi" is issued once a month, and includes topics such as: sports, education, teacher profiles, student profiles, current events, etc. It is free to the students because it is sponsored by many firms around the Redlands area. It is also usually almost in full color, and includes pictures of the student body. Students are interviewed at the nearing of the end of the school year for positions such as writing staff, editors, photography, etc. It is also known as "the echo of Redlands High School."

The "Makio" is the Redlands High School yearbook, which has had 102 volumes to the 2005-2006 school year. The "Makio" has won gold in yearbook competitions, and was recently feaured as one of the publisher's best yearbooks, along with another from California, and another from Colorado. The yearbook ranges from around $65 from the beginning of the school year, to $100 at the end of the school year. Also like the "Hobachi", students are interviewed for positions in three categories: business, staff that is dedicated to selling advertisements to businesses around the area; copy, staff that is dedicated to writing the entries in the yearbook; photography, staff that is dedicated to taking the pictures that are featured in the yearbook. Also, there are positions for editors for each section on the yearbook. The editors consist of Editor In Chief, Sports Editor, Business Editor, Copy Editor, Senior Editors, Senior Ads Editor, Photography Editor, Public Relations Editor, Layout Editor, and Underclassmen Editor. The editors are chosen by the class advisor; editor in chief must have a minimum of at least one year of editor, and is recommened be in the Makio class since freshmen year.

A literary journal has been in existence at Redlands High School for some years. During the 2005-2006 school year, the book "Shades of Grey" was published, exhibiting the many various students' artistic, poetic, and linguistic abilities.

The "Friday Show" is a show that is put together by the Advanced Multimedia class, also known as the "Digital Dogz," which airs every Friday. It includes student profiles, lunch time, free time, and teacher profiles. The show runs during 4th period throughout the entire school on the local cable system.

Redlands High School offers a wide variety of clubs which students are able to join. These range from a dance club to several ethnic clubs. Clubs on campus include: TACo. (Theatre Arts Company), Terrier Girls, Compact Club, Art Club, SHOP (Students Helping Others Privately), Women's Club, Earth Adventure Club, Peer Mediators, Black Student Union, MECHA, Asian Club, French Club, Winners Club, Ego Club, Sign Language Club, Spanish Club, Creativity Club, Octagon Club, College Club, Appreciation for the Culinary Arts, Desi Club, American Cancer Society, International Club, Psychology Club, Math Club, Chess and Wargames Club, Young Democrats Club, Young Republicans Club, Young Philosophes Club, Writing Club, History Club, Snow Riders Club, Fashion Club, Star Wars Club, Anime Club, Japanese Language Club and Key Club.

The RHS colors are blue and white. The Mascot is a Boston Terrier.
