== History ==
CCI was formed under [[Constitution of Pakistan|1973 constitution]]. Until 2010 the body worked under [[Prime Minister of Pakistan|Cabinet Division]]. * All four [[Provincial Governments of Pakistan|Provincial Cheif Ministers]]
* Three members to be nominated by Prime Minister (Usually [[Cabinet of Pakistan|Cabinet members]])

After passage of the Eighteenth Constitutional Amendment, it is mandatory for the Council to meet once in ninety days.
