I can't say I like that source very much. It seems to be a compilation of various sources by a website owner who collected that information for his own genealogical research. I don't suppose he made many (or any) mistakes while copying that info, but the point is that we cannot be sure whether he did or not. The best way is to get a hold of the originals of those sources and use them to expand the article. I've added this page to my to-do list and will see what I can do.
If you need to get a chunk translated, you might want to try [[WP:TIE]] first. I don't quite understand it. Maybe you mix together democracy and freedom? If you go to the street, you are free to do many things :) nobody cares. Some Americans stay here for quite a long and believe here is more freedom. Anyway there is no police regime here, like that in North Corea. Even in the time of SU it wasn't. Maybe there in Moscow, but Siberia was always more liberal place.


It is a closed military garrison. While it is very likely notable on its own, it is not an "inhabited locality", as per the Buryatia's legal definition (it is not, for example, included in the Buryatia's registry of inhabited localities), so the entry does not belong in a [[WP:SIA|set index]] on inhabited localities. In other words, the garrison's presumed notability isn't going to be the "inherent notability" which regular inhabited localities routinely fall under; it actually needs to be supported with good sources. Also, if an article about it is written, it should be linked from the [[Sosnovy Bor]] page via a hatnote or via an entry in the "see also" section, because that page is a set index and not a disambig. While it remains a red link, neither option can be exercised per our style guidelines, which is why I removed your addition altogether. As for democracy, it hasn't yet exist in Russia. The West has delusions about the regime in 1990s, now they're gone, and that's all. Do you mean [[:ru:Шаховское сельское поселение (Ульяновская область)|this article]]? It is not about the village; it is about the municipal division (which includes several villages). And the ''municipal'' division itself is formed on the basis of the corresponding ''administrative'' division, which is Shakhovskoy Rural Okrug (which, for whatever reason, the Russian Wikipedia does not even mention). As far as our article goes, there are separate fields in the infobox for the administrative and municipal divisions. ::You are welcome. "{{Lang|ru|Андреевка}}" would be "Andreyevka", and "{{Lang|ru|Витязь}}" would be "Vityaz" (the apostrophe for the soft sign is normally dropped; as per [[WP:RUS]]). The reason I'm postponing the review of that template is because most of the place names in Primorsky Krai overall and in Khasansky District in particular are ambiguous. It's very labor-intensive to manually check every single one for dups (just look at the [[Andreyevka]] page to see what I mean!). I am able to automate most of that, but I'm hesitant to work on such lists until the foundation for such work is built&mdash;it's really important to have all districts, cities, urban-type settlements, and selsoviets covered first, or we'll have to continuously return to the inhabited localities lists to tweak the links in the descriptions and/or relink the targets. However, there are some good articles in the references section of [[Hoeryong concentration camp]]. I added one to a description by a former guard, Ahn Myong Chol, that you may find useful. As for the city itself, there's not that much info available unfortunately. The [[Hoeryong]] article has links to Korean encyclopedias, which are about the only real source I know of, although I don't know where their information comes from or how old it is. The railroad bridge between Russia and North Korea runs between [[Khasan]] and the Tumangang Workers' District, [[Sonbong]] County, [[Rason]] Directly Governed City. In the [[Khasan]] article you can find map coordinates that will help you get a Google map of the area, and you can see the railroad depot in Tumangang. See also the Tumen River Area Development Project [http://www.american.edu/TED/tumen.htm], the goal of which seems to be to get more direct access to the sea for Chinese export goods. It's a mystery to me how [[Mongolia]] comes into it. :Yes, Tumangang Workers' District is right at the border, on the other side of the rail bridge. I'm not sure if it's correct to call it a "town" or not, since it's technically part of a city; but from the satellite image it does look like a town. There appear to be several clusters of houses with a very regular, rectilinear pattern right next to the depot, and farther away there are some more scattered villages near the fields. About pictures of Bahad 13 - I don't have a good picture of the main yard (רחבת מסדרים), which would be somewhat representative of the base. Other pictures are probably not relevant and superfluous, and moreover, may compromise the security of the base. This is for example why I removed the background from the ''zinzana'' picture. Thanks! There's lots more information out there, even in the sources that are already cited, so I think it would be cool to make this a Good Article. You are of course very welcome to join in. The one weak spot is photos. The picture of the train platform may be the only free-license photo of Barvikha out there, and even if somebody living in Moscow were willing to make the trip, I don't think it's possible to simply walk into the sanatorium and start taking pictures. That's too bad, since it's the work of a famous architect. What we can do is work the bare facts into a more smooth-flowing text, and add something about the services provided at the sanatorium. Hi Superzohar! Here's my understanding about the rail link. The railroad on the NK side and the railroad on the Russian side have different gauges, so there's a "break-of-gauge" at Khasan. That means you can't just send a train over, you have to either offload everything and put it on a different train, or it might be possible to adjust the same train cars to use a different gauge(?). I didn't find any clear details on what's actually done in this case. The line on the NK side is also not a very major line. I think the project people are always talking about is to have a major line straight through without a break-of-gauge, and with considerable improvements on the NK side (and maybe the Russian side too). There was a 2006 date set, but I haven't heard of any progress. It's not too surprising if announcements related to international projects with North Korea turn out to be over-optimistic, or get shelved entirely. Have you found any more recent news articles about it? Shakhovskoye

I can't say I like that source very much. It seems to be a compilation of various sources by a website owner who collected that information for his own genealogical research. I don't suppose he made many (or any) mistakes while copying that info, but the point is that we cannot be sure whether he did or not. The best way is to get a hold of the originals of those sources and use them to expand the article. I've added this page to my to-do list and will see what I can do.

It is a closed military garrison. While it is very likely notable on its own, it is not an "inhabited locality", as per the Buryatia's legal definition (it is not, for example, included in the Buryatia's registry of inhabited localities), so the entry does not belong in a set index on inhabited localities. In other words, the garrison's presumed notability isn't going to be the "inherent notability" which regular inhabited localities routinely fall under; it actually needs to be supported with good sources. Also, if an article about it is written, it should be linked from the Sosnovy Bor page via a hatnote or via an entry in the "see also" section, because that page is a set index and not a disambig. While it remains a red link, neither option can be exercised per our style guidelines, which is why I removed your addition altogether. Rural okrug

Do you mean this article? It is not about the village; it is about the municipal division (which includes several villages). And the municipal division itself is formed on the basis of the corresponding administrative division, which is Shakhovskoy Rural Okrug (which, for whatever reason, the Russian Wikipedia does not even mention). As far as our article goes, there are separate fields in the infobox for the administrative and municipal divisions. The administrative divisions are the divisions used by federal and regional governments for their purposes (military registration and draft, social assistance and pensions, marriage registrations, police, etc.). The municipal divisions are the units of local self-government. The municipal divisions are often formed within the limits of the administrative divisions of the corresponding level (which is why people so often get confused), but not always—the exact implementation varies from one federal subject to another. There's a little more on that at subdivisions of Russia#Administrative divisions and subdivisions of Russia#Municipal divisions.
As for the numbers to be changed, if you could check your contribution history for articles to which you added infoboxes in the past week or so and double-check the 2010 population, that should do it. The 2010 estimates in the Russian Wikipedia aren't inaccurate; they are just not as recent as the Census numbers. You are welcome. "Андреевка" would be "Andreyevka", and "Витязь" would be "Vityaz" (the apostrophe for the soft sign is normally dropped; as per WP:RUS). The reason I'm postponing the review of that template is because most of the place names in Primorsky Krai overall and in Khasansky District in particular are ambiguous. It's very labor-intensive to manually check every single one for dups (just look at the Andreyevka page to see what I mean!). I am able to automate most of that, but I'm hesitant to work on such lists until the foundation for such work is built—it's really important to have all districts, cities, urban-type settlements, and selsoviets covered first, or we'll have to continuously return to the inhabited localities lists to tweak the links in the descriptions and/or relink the targets. Changing article titles

Please explain why you've taken upon yourself to start changing article titles from "...of the Russian Federation" to "...of Russia". They are not the same. They no longer match the Russian language articles all bearing Russian Federation. Have you visited the site of the official Russian Gazette? Have you visited the site of the President of the Russian Federation? Have you spent years researching the matter through official documents?
