Commenting on an article's talk page is a perfectly acceptable, and sometimes preferred, alternative to edit summaries, especially in a dispute. Now, I don't intend to go back and forth with you endlesssly about insignificant matters. If you have issues about the article's content, after your block is over, please add them to the article's talk page rather than continuing to edit war. Thank you. I don't want to make the running commentary at WP:3RRN any longer, so I thought I'd answer your question here. The starting place is WP:TPG, which are the guidelines for all Talk pages at Wikipedia. If you go down that page to WP:OWNTALK, there's a paragraph specifically about removing notices from Talk pages. You'll see that it directs you to WP:BLANKING, which is the relevant policy (it's part of a guidline, but the guideline labels it "policy"). That section says you can remove most notices (like 3RR) with the understanding, as I said at 3RR, that you're presumed to have read it. Only certain notices (in the bullet points) can not be removed. I hope that helps. |

BTW, don't get all over Cresix on this issue. It won't help you. I've commented, and he's acknowledged my comments. I know it's tought being a newbie, but just focus on learning how to edit and collaborate better at Wikipedia. Much better use of your time than fighting.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:32, 5 July 2012 (UTC) |

Leave this until an admin takes action
Your recent editing history at Mabel Simmons shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Cresix (talk) 22:46, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Removal of warnings
Much better use of your time than fighting.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:32, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
