Dan D (Slovene D-Day) is a Slovene rock band that was formed in 1996 in Lower Carniola, Slovenia from remnants of previous group Mercedes band (formed in 1991) by Tomislav Jovanovič - Tokac and Dušan Obradinovič - Obra who have invited three experienced musicians Marko Turk - Tučo , Primož Špelko, and Aleš Bartelj.
In March 2007 the Dan D together with Siddharta as "Dandarta" in concert hall Cankar Hall, Ljubljana during the ceremony of Viktor Award 2007 have presented a symbiosis of two songs, radio hit Voda (Water), and new Siddharta's single Male roke (Small hands). A song was recorded in a modern studio RSL in Novo Mesto. The next day groups appeared in a TV show TLP of Slovene Radio-Television National Station's programme TV Slovenija 1.

Dan D is coming from Novo mesto (Slovenia)and it was formed in 1996, the first band members were: Tomislav Jovanović (Tokac) – vocal, Dušan Obradinovič (Obra) – drums, Marka Turka (Tučo) – guitar, Primoža Špelko – bass guitar and Aleša Bartelj (Bart) – solo guitar. They all had long musical carrier behind themselves. They got their name because of their manner, how do they appear on concerts in live. After they recorded first two albums “Igra“ and 3 years later “Ko hodiš nad oblaki“, Bart and Špelko have left the band, so that time they stopped playing for a while. Later their new band members became Andrej Zupančič (bass guitar); Boštjan Grubar – Bošti (keyboards). With this crew they recorded new album called Katere barve je tvoj dan and in mean while they appeared in many concerts. Till now the band exists 12 years and it have pretty nice history and results, only change in the band is new bass guitarist Nikola Sekulovič, who came from Laibach, but before he was also playing in Demolition group. At the moment they are having promotional tour, where they are playing new songs from album, which will be published in the beginning of next year. 9.11.2008
