Template:FixBunching Template:FixBunching Total Drama Action is the second season of the Canadian animated television series, Total Drama Island. The show premiered in Teletoon Canada 6:30 et/pt[2] on January 11, 2009. For the United States, it will air on Cartoon Network on June 4th. Chris MacClean will return as the host, and Chef Hatchet will return as the chef (along with someone else as the director said on the official Total Drama Island blog). The show takes place on an abandoned film studio back lot, where the contestants will stay for six weeks, competing in various movie genre themed challenges for one million dollars. In place of the campfire ceremony, there will be an award ceremony where the remaining contestants will receive a gilded trophy of the host, with the one who does not receive a trophy walks down the Dreaded Carpet Walk of Shame to the Lame-o-sine and leave Total Drama Action for good. The trailer is available to watch. The first episode was available on the Teletoon website on January 8,2009.[3] New episodes are first made available online at Teletoon.com, three days before they premiere on TV.

4 Episode 6, "TDA Aftermath #1", does not feature a regular episode of Total Drama Action with the competitors, but does feature a mini-series, entitled TDA Aftermath. This was a talk show which featured all of the non-participating and eliminated Total Drama Action contestants.

Elimination Reasons

  • Geoff - Voted off due to everyone's annoyance of him and Bridgette making out too much. (He was voted off at the same time as Bridgette, but Geoff got in the limo first.)
  • Bridgette - Voted off due to everyone's annoyance of her and Geoff making out too much. (She was voted off at the same time as Geoff, but got in the limo second or after him.)
  • Izzy (E-Scope) - Voted off due to losing the acting challenge for the Killer Grips and obsessively persuading the Killer Grips to call her "E-Scope".
  • Trent - Voted off due to Justin finding out he was throwing challenges for Gwen and the Screaming Gaffers.
  • Duncan - Voted off because of losing the challenge and Heather, Harold, DJ and Leshawna turned against him.
  • Heather - Voted off simply because she was untrustworthy and disliked by everyone(except Harold).

Total Drama Action Interactive

Like for the series, Total Drama Island, Teletoon has released an interactive website for Total Drama Action, more than likely entitled, "Total Drama Action Interactive". Also, like Total Drama Island, it features games similar to the challenges, and will have new, updated games every week, along with the televised challenges.

Aside from this, there is also an introductory game entitled "Wheel-O-Secrets". In this game, the player uses skill to stop roulette wheels to match up the heads, bodies, and legs/feet of Owen, Gwen, Heather, Duncan, LeShawna, Geoff, Izzy (E-Scope), DJ, Lindsay, Bridgette, Trent, Harold, Beth, Justin, and mystery cast-mate Courtney, to their appropriate and correct positions.

The Third Season

It has been announced that there will be a third season of the Total Drama series. Currently, not much is known about the season, but it is rumored to be called Total Drama, The Musical.[5] It has been revealed on the official production blog that both Todd Kauffman and Mark Thornton will not be the directors of the third season. Kauffman's last day on the show was February 6, 2009, and Thornton will leave at the end of Total Drama Action.
