Ah, thanks to the wonderful Treasure law in the UK (Treasure Act 1996), something is only legally treasure if it is more than 300 years old and it comprises more than 2 coins together and/or objects which are more than 10% by weight precious metal (the old Treasure Trove law had different criteria). So whilst a hoard, like the Frome Hoard is 'Treasure' because of all the coins this a legal term that actually omits quite a lot of other hoards. For example, the Knaresborough hoard and the Ryedale Roman Bronzes are both examples of hoards but are not Treasure. I don't think this difference is well reflected in the categorisation of these groups of objects yet. Note that 'Treasure Trove' as a legal definition of something is ended in the UK by the creation of the above Act, but that's a different matter. Note the existence of Category:Hoards of jewellery as a more thematic grouping. There could be an argument to also create Category:Coin hoards or even a higher category of 'Hoards' from which these examples may be subcategories.Zakhx150 (talk) 16:25, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
