NAC Closures If you are here because you disagree with an NAC closure at AFC, please let me know below. I will honour any reasonable request without going to DRV. Administrators should take this notice as consent to revert an NAC of mine for any reason they see fit without request or explanation, though feedback on an incorrect NAC is welcome so I avoid future errors.

If I rejected your Article for Creation My decision to reject your article is final and I will very rarely consider a request to remove the rejection notice. If you disagree with a rejection, please contact the AFC Helpdesk for a third opinion. If you disagree with a decline, simply resubmit and another editor can assess the submission.

Did I incorrectly revert your edit? As a counter-vandalism patroller, I occasionally revert minor edits that on the surface, appear problematic but were made in good faith. If you believe this to be the case, you have as much right to restore the edit without asking me to do so.

    Clifton Hill Community Music Centre

    edit

Many of the musicians involved have their own pages, surely making the CHCMC notable by association. And I've already included several reliable secondary sources. - PastelLilac (talk) 23:56, 9 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@PastelLilaceven if Adele performed a duet with Elton John at my house making international headlines, unfortunately it won’t be notable as notability is not inherited. Sorry. I live in Melbourne, that centre isn’t notable (for the purposes of Wikipedia). — MaxnaCarta  ( 💬 • 📝 ) 03:52, 10 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Are you saying I could keep piling on the reliable secondary sources (of which there are many to choose from), and you won't budge from this position? And a one off show in your house is a bit different from a venue used by hundreds of musicians over the span of almost a decade. I take it you prefer your commercial stuff. Kate Ceberano's first band grew out of the CHCMC. - PastelLilac (talk) 07:13, 10 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Those sources do not constitute significant coverage of the subject which is the hall, not the artist who is notable. I won’t “budge” from my decision to draft the article, but another editor will review my decision as it’s now in the draft queue.MaxnaCarta  ( 💬 • 📝 ) 09:19, 10 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
The eMelbourne source is merely to show how the CHCMC is summarised within Melbourne music more broadly, and by a reliable, encyclopedic source. It's a relevant and notable episode in the history of Australian music. Or as the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art put it, one of sixteen "defining moments" that shaped Australian art since 1968. And nowhere is the CHCMC referred to as a "hall". - PastelLilac (talk) 13:03, 10 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello again. I have expanded the draft quite a bit now. I would also like to WP:DRAFTOBJECT for the following reason: per WP:DRAFTNO, "Editors should generally avoid moving an article to draftspace in the following circumstances: ... Another editor is actively working on the article, e.g. ... there have been constructive edits made within the last hour". If you scroll down the edit history, I had made 4 constructive edits to the page in the hour prior you draftifying it. My latest edit was three minutes before. Per WP:DRAFTOBJECT, "Other editors, including the author of the page, but excluding editors with a conflict of interest, have a right to object to draftifying the page. If an editor raises an objection, move the page back to mainspace and, if necessary, list it at AfD." Since there's no conflict of interest (I am in no way connected to the topic, just interested in it), it seems to me the article should go back to the mainspace. I'm confident notability has been established at this point, but plan to keep expanding the article anyway. It's a fascinating topic and there's a lot of material to go through. - PastelLilac (talk) 00:04, 12 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

On 22 October 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Pell v The Queen, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the verdict of Pell v The Queen could not be reported on properly for two months? You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Pell v The Queen), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed.
