Description
Deutsch: Grabstein zweier römischer Panzerreiter (Kataphrakten), Aurelius Saluda und Aurelius Regrethus, im Rotenbachtal (Schwäbisch Gmünd), datiert auf 3. Jh. n. Chr., Kopie eines Originals aus dem Landesmuseum Württemberg. Fundort des Originals ein Gräberfeld in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt (1930). Die beiden Brüder dienten in der Ala nova firma catafractaria, ca. 234-235 n.Chr. Der Grabstein wurde vonb ihrem Bruder Aurelius Abdedathus gestiftet. Die Einheit wurde in den östlichen Provinzen aufgestellt und unter den Kaisern Severus Alexander und Maximinus Thrax von 222-235 an der Nordgrenze eingesetzt.
