Highly exaggerated sales and award claims in the Cher discography

Kekkomereq4, you have re-added false sales and awards claims to the Cher discography. A year and a half ago, there was a discussion on the talk:Cher discography page about the inaccuracy in which nobody weighed in on the side of defending the sales figures in the article or the sources for those figures. You re-added those sales and award figures without commenting on the talk page, or giving fresh, accurate citations for your claims. The re-added sales and award figures are vastly different from figures which appear in the respective album articles, album articles which you have heavily edited (yet which do not match your discography page claims). Until you're able to weigh in with an opinion on the talk page and provide citations for the figures, please do not re-add these figures. Considering their factual inaccuracy, considering the lack of citations, considering your lack of comment on the talk page, and considering the fact that your edits make different claims about the same titles in other articles, reverting these figures to the discography is tantamount to vandalism. December 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Cher. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please do not remove "dead link" notations from sources. This prevents regular editors from determining what sources need to be replaced. Wildhartlivie (talk) 09:23, 1 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your uploads

Good day. I see that you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. First off, thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, there are some guidelines that we need to follow with copyrighted images. Specifically, you need to add a source for the image (a link to a website will do), a copyright tag (there are some listed at WP:ICT), and a rationale explaining why we can use a copyrighted image (explained at WP:NFURG). I see that your images fail to include one of these. Please stop uploading images and address the concerns listed above. If you need assistance, you can ask at the help desk. If you do not fix these images, and you continue to make bad uploads, you will be blocked and your images will be deleted. Thanks for your contributions! Cher

Hi, I wrote a rather long post to you at the Talk:Cher page. I notice you've edited the article since then, but have not responded to that post. Is it your intention not to? Abrazame (talk) 10:30, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Amanda Lear biography

Sorry about the delay in replying, I've been quite busy lately. Firstly, an apology for accusing you of deleting the parts about Amanda Lear being a transsexual - again - since it was you the last time I just assumed it was you this time too - my wrong, I apologise. But, secondly, I see that someone has deleted that entire section again - for whatever reason this time - and if that's the case that you can't write that Amanda Lear built her entire disco career on claiming to be a transsexual and there are about ten referenced sources backing those claims up saying that she indeed is, but you still can't even put it in writing on English Wikipedia (The French, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Russian versions etc. seem to be OK, even with less sources)......? Well then I frankly can't be bothered with spending more energy on that biography anymore. I'll leave it to the hardcore Amanda Lear fans, I'm sure they'll do a much better, not to mention unbiased and NPOV, job. I was under the impression that Wikipedia was supposed to be an encyclopedia and not a fan site - again I was obviously wrong, and... life's just too short for that kind of nonsense. :-)

So, please accept my sincere apologies - and the best of luck with that biography/discography in the future,

Regards
