Bundoora is the headquarters of La Trobe University, Bundoora Campus. Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) also has a campus situated in Bundoora.
Geography
Bundoora is home to Mt. Cooper, the geographical piece d'resistance of the suburb and the highest point in metropolitan Melbourne.
Local Sites
Big Daddies, a well-known pizza establishment, originated in Bundoora, and was the protagonist in the Melbourne $5 Pizza Wars of the early 2000s.
Although, technically in Thomastown, the Bundoora All-Weather Market was until recently a major Melbourne market.
Greensborough Lanes is a bowling alley that despite its name, is located in Bundoora.
Trams
Bundoora RMIT is the end of the line for the Bundoora tram line. At a distance, whilst intoxicated, trams travelling along the Bourrke Street Mall can be erroneously read as Bundoora RMIT when in fact they clearly state East Brunswick on their signs.
La Trobe University
La Trobe University is known more for its Thursday Bar Nights than its educattional accolades.
