Leah Meyerhoff

Leah Meyerhoff (born December 4, 1979 in San Francisco, California) is a Student Academy Award nominated filmmaker. Her films have screened in over 100 film festivals worldwide and won at least a dozen international awards.

Biography

Leah graduated with Honors from Brown University in 2001, with a Bachelor's degree in Art-Semiotics. She was immediately accepted into New York University, where she is currently pursuing a Master's in Film.

While at NYU, Leah directed Twitch (film), a short film portraying a young girl's irrational fear that her mother's disability is contagious.

Twitch kicked off the film festival circuit by winning a Grand Jury Prize at Slamdance and becoming a finalist in the Student Academy Awards. It has since screened at over 100 film festivals, won a dozen awards, and is currently airing on the Independent Film Channel.

After completing Twitch, Leah went on to direct several music videos, including Team Queen and Eternal Flame.

Leah currently lives in New York where she is working on her first feature film.
